Location: Mims, FL | My horse trailer lacks storage area's. I generally use my first stall which has a stud divider for storing my buckets, extra hay, shavings, and whatever else I need to put in there. A lot of times my boots just end up dropped right inside the door of the stud stall and off we go. I have a back tack but we had a box put over my generator which is in there so there is no room in there for anything other than my saddles and bridles. I usually put my pads over my dividers.
My question is.... Do you have any neat DIY idea's for your horse boots? or any neat idea's for a horse trailer that has little to no storage space for the extra items you need when hauling long distances. I bought the trailer brand new six years ago so I have been making it work, I am just trying to find ways to make it a bit more tidy. lol |

| I'm not sure what others have used but could you get one of those things you hang on the door that have pockets for shoes? Maybe you could hang that in there somewhere and as long as the pockets are deep enough, they would stay!

| We have put up strips of Velcro in the past and that seemed to work well. I have an over the door organizer now that does the job as well. |

| velcro on the wall... shoe organizer.... string with a wide peice on bottom and just run the string through the middle of each boot like this lady did with the polos http://runningbrokequarterhorses.weebly.com/how-to--helpful-ideas.h... |

| I have a velcro tacky mat that hangs on the inside wall of my tack room. I hang my boots by the straps to the mat- easy to reach and find what you need. |

Location: Oklahoma | I have velcro in my small trailer and it works great, but the adhesive is starting to pull away from from the trailer and is rendering itself useless. I plan on buying one of the hanging bags from Professional's Choice or Classic Equine when I can haul again. As for everything else..... tote boxes are my friend. Label everything and start stacking and it's all easy to find! |

really like this for keeping boots/shoes etc off floor and organized. Please where did you get it? It looks fairly new so maybe it's not one of those things that come for a bit then gone forever. |

| I have 2 of the Classic Equine mesh sided totes - the ones that are the same size as their hay bags. I keep my BOT wraps in one and Iconoclasts, bell boots, spare splint boots and polos in the other. Everything stays together, and it's easy to grab the bag and rummage through it! I also like that the shoulder strap snaps off, so you can hang it from a fence/stall/whatever easily.
I haven't done the Velcro strips on the wall, but I think that would be an awesome way to utilize empty wall space.
This is the tote: http://www.statelinetack.com/item/classic-equine-sport-boot-tote/E0... |

| I also use a shoe organizer. I have a long plastic one. It's great for boots and brushes and anything really. Then you can hose it off when it's dirty. I think I got mine at Target |

Location: Phoenix | I like using one of those plastic water tubs with handles for boots. I would put it in at the front of the stud stall and just toss them in! |

Location: The South | We had a couple strips of Velcro in our old trailer and it worked really well. I thought it would come unglued quickly with the crazy heat here but it lasted the whole time we had the trailer. |

Location: Alabama | I have bars on my sliding windows, so I loop a velcro around the bars & they air dry on the way home. They are high enough they do not hit the horses rears. |
