Location: Bandera, TX | I love our stock combo. It's a 4H elite BP with a stud well on the middle partition. I like the fact I can haul calves or goats up front and my horses on the back. The front tack is huge. The only thing I would do different is put a slider in the full gate on the back. Trailer has been perfect for training babies to load and haul.

| I have an older one. The only thing I would change is the width of the door to the tack/nose area. It is a little narrow. I love it though. Here in South Texas it much more comfortable because of the airflow. In my friend's L/Q with the big windows he still would sweat. I think he is a little claustrophobic and just prefers the openness of the stock combo. |

| I custom ordered one last year. It's got a 9 foot short wall in the tack, with an air conditioner, plug ins, etc. My husband and I insulated and finished the inside for a casual weekender, and I have my saddles, bridles, etc there with me. It's a fantastic place to overnight, lurk during long jackpots, etc. Lights, heat, AC, full 30 amp breaker, mini fridge, etc. I keep my saddle pads on a hanger in the stock area. I put a gate in at 5', with an emergency gate on the side, within that 5'. Best storage area ever for hauling long distances. Buckets, hay, grain, dogs, you name it. I love how much room I have!
I hate slants, so I just haul an open stock trailer. I am going to install one more gate eventually to put a stud behind. So many people freak out hauling horses with no slants, but I've never ever had an issue. You just need to know your herd. For trainers, etc, with new horses coming in all the time, I can definitely see the value behind slants.
The one thing I absolutely need, that I almost installed, and should have when it was built, was a ramp. For this big trailer (it's 30' long), they needed to block the axels, and so its really TALL. A ramp is needed.
If you've ever seen a really nasty wreck with a regular 'horse' trailer, you'd never haul a back tack or slants again. At the very least, I'll never use a back tack, and only opt for full back gate.

Location: NE Texas | I have a Sooner stock combo 4 horse with slants, 4' mid tack, and 8' living quarters. It has a full swing back gate and an escape door on the first slant. I LOVE this trailer. The only thing I would add is a ramp, as it is very tall as someone else mentioned. Other than that, I wouldn't change one single thing about it. I had them add an exterior water spigot, a hay rack, a generator and satellite for the TV for my husband so he never misses a football game when we're gone to a barrel race. HAHA |

| I am wanting to purchase a stock combo with midtack and dressing room. 5-6 horse
Everyone that owns one seems to hold onto them.. Used is about impossible to find.
Wondering about what brands you prefer and why.
I currently own a 4H with a large dressing room, but needing to haul more horses. .

| If you can, get one with a floating cut gate. So handy for hauling different combinations of horses, horses and other livestock, or horses and your stuff. |

Location: Buffalo, TX | This is what I have ordered for myself...I LOVE stock combos and I hate rear tacks too. I'm a big fan of floating gates and have sold many this year with them included.
Be sure you carpet your bulkhead wall where the bridle hooks are...it's quieter and you won't get those awful marks on the aluminum.
Get a swing out blanket bar, plenty of bridle hooks and brush trays.
Get a slider on the rear gate for resale because a lot of cattle guys want these for both horses and cattle.
I added a separate stud stall in the front if I have a horse I don't want riding right next to another one.
All the horses loaded in here except the one in the front will ride backwards (facing the curb side).
Just my preference but I'd rather have the smaller front tack and a shorter trailer because I'll use that front stud stall for hay, buckets, a cooler, & other stuff.
These are SO popular right now, and very easy to resell when you are ready. Stay with a name brand like Platinum, Elite, 4-Star so you retain your resale value. Other brands just don't get the money back on the other end.

| I have a 4Star 3H to which I added a foot in the horse box and have hauled 4 in it more than 3 by removing slant dividers. I leave the front slant up to haul a strange horse then head to tail 3 of mine in the back (no rear tack) I have jammed 5 in there once in an emergency (I planned for this by putting ties on the butt side.
I am low maintenance so my LQ is 22inches wide with my saddle racks and bridle hooks inside. After 9 years I had the LQ finished and it includes AC, a sink, a boot box big enough to sleep on, storage boxes beside the mattress and a cupboard in the front of the nose. I have an incredible amount of stuff packed in that trailer! I also had a couple of cigarette lighter receptacles put in so I can run a TV and an electric cooler.
My total length is 16'. The trailer is fixing to be 23 years old and I STILL love it, so handy to haul around yet comfortable for me and my dogs. My neighbor has borrowed it to move his dairy cows. We have used it to move furniture and equipment...I love the full back door! Have yet to not get a horse loaded on it....if need be, we can back up to a gate and run 'em in. Rarely have I unloaded a sweaty horse, no matter how hot.

Location: Arkansas | We just recently bought one. The trailer is 28' total length. I think the box is 16' (1 cut gate). It has a nice, small LQ and mid tack.. Walk thru from LQ to tack and from tack to horse area. We have used it once and really like it so far. |

Location: Oakdale, CA | Mine just came from ok. city 2 nights ago. I bought a elite 24ft. stock combo. split tack, 8 ft wide and 7 foot tall. I love it pulls like a dream. I'm having trouble attaching a picture. bought it from lewis trailers in stephenville and put a few custom features on it. I need a combo to haul cows but it it black in the front and very cocky....
I'm trying to attach a picture but having trouble............ugh
