Location: Oklahoma | You couldn't give me an Exciss. In 2002/2003 they were transitioning over to Universal Trailer Company. The trailers are an entry level trailer and most do not hold up well. I've driven behind one where the back door fell off and the only thing keeping the horse in was the butt bar. There are many better used trailers out there than an exciss. |

Location: Desert Land | I can’t remember what year mine was – 2001 or 2002ish Exiss SS300. I got it VERY cheap and it needed minor repairs, so I fixed it up and actually traded it back to the girl I got it from for the Exiss trailer plus cash for a Platinum trailer she had. On the Exiss there was welds there were structure welds that had split open that I had to have repaired, the wall adjoining the 1st horse slot and tack room the welds had come undone from a horse leaning/banging on it, the aluminum handles on the back door were worn super thin in the area where it locks in to the bracket and looked like they could snap in half with just a bit of pressure, so I had to replace those. Then after she got the trailer back from me she was hauling down the road and the bracket that the handles locked in to – one of them popped off and she didn’t have the butt bar up so a horse fell out of the back of it. Lucky for her she was close to home and not going fast, so the horse was OK. But I had all of that stuff checked before I sent her the trailer, so it shouldn’t have happened. The trailer was inconsistent – some of the materials were heavy duty and built to last, and some very poorly constructed. After having the Platinum and now a Logan, I don’t think I could ever buy another Exiss. A good friend of mine just bought an older one with a weekender and I took a look and it looks pretty good and she loves it, but I just don’t like them. |

Location: LuluLand~along I64 Indiana | mine is a 2003 I have owned for 10 years. the only complaint I have is that we have had to seal and reseal the seam on the top. the sealant doesn't hold up more than a year or two and the way the seams are made are prone to leaking. never had to replace a weld. floors in good shape. I do need a new bumper for the back but that's just rubber and wouldn't expect it to look brand new. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | I wouldn't put my horse in one if it was given to me..... Way too many cheap aspects and they don't stand behind their brand at all. Heaven forbid your trailer fall apart, they won't help you. My friend owned one for about a year and could NEVER haul in it. It was one thing after another and Exiss wouldn't help her out at all. Wouldn't even suggest a repair shop to her.
I love my family's early 90s model sooner stock trailer, that dudes a tank! It's the reason I refuse to buy a new trailer. Why buy new that will fall apart when I can call my dad, make a short drive and know for a fact my horse is protected in that thing. |

I have a 2003 Exiss 3-horse slant gooseneck with a dressing room (no LQ). I have this problem with mine. The caulking/sealant around the roof is worn out and will leak when it rains hard. I did a really quick "fix" this fall before winter hit, and basically just put another laying of caulking over the seam. Will have to wait until next year to find out how good it fixed it.
I've also had a lot of electrical issues with mine, mostly the ground wire. I've owned the trailer for about 3 years, and I've had the grounding fixed twice, along with a bunch of other electrical stuff.
When I bought it, there were a few hinges that were broke on the dressing room door. I finally had them fixed last year. The hinges had just snapped.
Other than that, it's been a really nice entry level trailer for me. I honestly don't think I would ever buy one again when I finally look to upgrade. It's had its issues, but I guess its been okay for the money. |

Location: Wisconsin | Now that i think back, we also had issues with the seal on the seams on the roof of the trailer and having water damage in our LQ, that was many years ago and i have forgotten, lol! that is our only complaint with the trailer. We had it resealed and havent had an issue since. |

Location: Riding Crackhead. | I bought a new Exiss in 06. We don't go in the winter but from April to November we're gone 2-4 days a week. We haven't had a bit of trouble with ours. In fact I've been looking at getting something different and I can't find a LQ I like as well as mine so I guess I'm keeping it for now. I have the Event and not the Supersport (SS). We keep ours inside when not in use. |

| I owned an 02 Exiss XT. It was well made and a great trailer. From my understanding the XT and SS trailers have more beams and are better made. The "sport" is their economical trailer. |

Location: sunny california | I bought an 03 LQ used. I got it for a song because it needed so much work even though it wasn't used much at all. I put some money into and hubby worked on it, but he is a VERY handy guy. he can weld, rivot, hvac, electric and carpentry work, so that worked out awesome for me. It is a nice trailer now. I would have never bought it if hubby was not so handy. I would not buy a new one either. I would not have bought it if I was on the rodeo or futurity trail either. I don't use it that often so it is perfect for me |

Location: Roping pen | IF you can fix it yourself, and get it for a cheaper price, would be fine...
I have a Super Sport Exiss stock trailer and have had to:
Replace all weld on hinges with bolt on.
Weld on plexi glass track.
Fix/weld a few side panels back on.
Tire issues as tires where the cheapest ones ever made.
Replace light lens' as they faded really quick due to poor plastic.
Rewire the junction box as terminals/wire connections where junk/poorly done.
Replace the light cord as was not long enough to get over a tail gate.
Currently, have issues with the light cord falling out of the top rail track and another weld broke on the escape door.
But for what it costs, is still way cheaper than a "name brand". Since I did repair myself, is still a value for me. I just haul horses in it. IF you used it as a cow/bull hauler, it would fall apart real quick. If you don't plan on using it hard or a lot, you would be fine.
Good luck.
