For quite a while I have been having some training issues with my now 4yr old gelding. Ace would be fantastic and then all the sudden he would have what I called "ain't gonna happen days". Those days no matter what I did EVERYTHING was a fight. I was honestly at my witts end and ready to sell him and be done with it. Started riding with a local barrel horse trainer and we started improving. Awesome. Ace still had a lot of resistance some days but was doing ok. Finally he had an "ain't gonna happen day" in front of the trainer. He went from being soft and supple to about slamming me in the face with his head resisting me and the trainer saw it all and was in disbelief because she clearly saw I did not even pull back at all on the reins to cause such a drastic reaction from him.

I finally decided to try the left over CurOst Stomach supplement we had left over from a horse we sold (was supposed to go with the horse but that's another long story. Lol). 3 DAYS of being on the CurOst I rode Ace, I could not believe the difference in how he rode!!! He was back to being the extremely soft and relaxed horse I had when I first started him. No head tossing, no pitching a fit over who knows what. He simply enjoyed his job again. 5 days after being on the CurOst I rode with the trainer again. Her jaw dropped at the change in Ace. His training was finally progressing nicely again! He also lost the bloated belly look I could never get rid of.

Then I ran out. Told myself I couldn't justify the cost. Went out to ride 3 days after running out. HORRIBLE ride. Everything was a fight and every time I used my legs to guide him away from the direction of his buddies he would crow hop and have a fit. At the end of that ride I hosed him off, tied him up, and came into the house and ordered the CurOst again.

I NEVER would have pegged my extremely laid back gelding as an ulcer prone horse. I do know the benefits far outweigh the cost! If the Total wasn't so pricey he would move to that after this month. This isn't a great before and after but it shows his belly a bit. I need to dig through more photos.

We have an old mare that lost a lot of weight over the winter. I put her on Total twice a day and in a week she is eating better, pawing and nickering at me to hurry up and feed and has already gained a little weight over her top. I ordered the Stomach earlier this week and just got it this morning, so I am eager to see how she does on that, too.

YAY!!! My mare is off all her ulcer meds after being on Curost Stomach for less than a month!!! Amazing stuff!!! Hoping to be able to afford to get my other mare on it as well!

Because of this post I started looking into this supplement. I found that it's ingredients are marshmallow root powder and aloe gel powder. I already give my horses 100%aloe juice each day. I wonder if buying my own marshmallow root powder and saving some money would work just as well as this product. Has anyone tried this yet?

Thank you! I see him everyday so I was hoping those pics would be good enough!

I know it can be made but I will pay the money for the premixed supplement to take the guess work out and because it works. I can not believe the change in this guy! My gut told me something was causing the attitude issues.

Nothing was changed in his routine or feed other then adding this supplement.

You may want to look in to Excel by Depaulo Equine, I figured it up and if you buy the big tub it works out to $1.16 a day at the highest dose, around 58 cents a day for the lower dose.  I love the CurOst products but I am feeding so many I just can't afford it.

Excell worked on my mare but the gelding did not do well on it. For whatever reason, the Cur Ost products work the best on him.

I was really wanting to try THE Muscle Mass and add the ulcer preventative mix but I was too afraid it wouldn't work as well as the CurOst. Honestly at this point I'm pretty worried about trying anything else. This has helped him so much that I would hate to regress with him.

I love the curost products but I could only afford one horse I have two. Friends refer me to Heather benson She goes by the hair analysis and her products are 60-68 for 2 months You feed less too. I was so worried bout switching but I am so glad I did! Horses are doing great and I can treat 2 and there is a test to see what exactly you need and It is not the same each time and not the same for ea horse. Good luck and good job!

What is her business's name so I can look it up, please? I love Cur Ost but I have 3 now that need it and I can't afford to feed all 3 Cur Ost.
Thanks.

Never mind, I found it.

Wow! Your horse definitely looks great! My gelding had a similar problem and I never expected him to be ulcer prone either. I put him on The GastroPLUS and he is now a new horse! Got to love having a happy and healthy horse!
