Location: Puerto Rico | I rode an own son for a friend. He was a total dink, wouldn't have him even if someone tried to give him to me. I feel like something was wrong with him, like developmentally or something, so I wouldn't necessarily judge the whole line from this one horse. He was so unathletic, bad minded, not very trainable. He was sold as a 4 year old for a decent amount of money for a 9 year old girl to finish out on barrels. He was completely unsuitable for a child and unsafe. Also he was not patterned like they said, he had maybe been muscled thru the pattern a few times. I won't say where he came from, it will get this thread zapped :). But bad training aside, I still dont think this horse had any ability. Personally, I would be cautious about a Meter Me Gone horse, but I wouldn't cross one off due to one bad apple. |

Tell us how you Really feel. Lol. I had a Rare Bar horse that I felt the same way about! Sold as a green horse and turned out the mare should have been in the eliminator pen at the nfr. Lol. Don't think for a minute a couple of the well known futurity runners won't drug a horse to unload one quickly. Lol. |

Location: Royal J Performance Horses, AZ | I've got a Meter Me Gone mare out of a Zevi daughter. she's broodmare sound only but ran AAA on the track. The person that had her let the horse walk all over them so we had a come to Jesus meeting and now she's been easy to handle and work with. This mare is an HONEST and SOLID 16HH horse and is wide as she is tall. But this mare gets down and turns so fast she's like a cutting horse.... I was shocked when I got her home and watched her work in the round pen it was INCREDIBLE! She seems to have a good mind on her and is jsut built nice. The only thing I'd knock her for is she is a BIG worry wart she cant stand to be seperated from other horses.
The way this mare moves i'm so tempted to breed her for a barrel horse, but i think I will breed her to go to the track. I can see if I can get some pictures up, I haven't taken any proffesional ones of her yet so they are not the best.
Here's her Pedigree http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/exclusive+feeling

| We also have a Meter Me Gone daughter o/o a daughter of Easy Jet. Love the mare she's very personable and loves the attention you give her, but she is FLIGHTY. She's a little bit of a nut case. She seen a deer run across the field last week, and she took off bucking and snorting and just plain freaking out. It's funny, but with this ice and snow I feel like she's going to hurt herself, but then again she is pretty sure footed and takes care of herself pretty well.
She as well is a worry wart. If she is in the barn away from the other horses, or tied away from the other horses. She will sit there and paw and paw and paw until you go and take her out.
Overall I do like this mare a lot, but she doesn't have the prettiest head. In fact she's kinda ugly lol but she is a super nice mare, so we'll keep her. :) LMAO. |

| My granddaughter of Meter Me Gone is really nice. Athletic and good minded. I know a granddaughter isn't the same as a son or daughter of but threw in my two cents anyway! |

Location: You never know where I will show up...... | I've got a daughter of Tres Seis out of a daughter of Meter Me Gone. She was a really good futurity horse here in 2013. She came off the track, but she had a great mind and really wanted to please. She is also very FAST. She won a futurity and placed at several other big ones. I'd take another one in a heartbeat.

Location: MT | Thank you all. I appreciate your opinions. The horse I am condsidering is out of a daughter of Meter Me Gone, so she would in fact be a GD. The mare has a strong pedigree all the way through... I just have never personally worked with any Meter Me Gone horses and wanted to get some perspective. So, please, keep it coming. :) |

Wow, just beautiful and FAST! Thanks for sharing. If you don't mind, how long did you train your futurity horse to have such a solid pattern? |

If you don't mind, how long did you train your futurity horse to have such a solid pattern? I started her in April 2012 but I don't work them a lot on the pattern, really. I just like to gave them really broke before I start them. So it's easier. I didn't start exhibitionng her until last fall and the BFA last year was her first run. She made the finals there and I ran her at one pro rodeo and several jackpots. She tore a suspensory last spring and was out until late July. The run I posted the video of was her 3rd weekend back in competition and she'd picked up checks and even won a round in 1 futurity the preceding weekends. This mare is wicked fast with a ton of try to her. I'd sure look at another one bred this way if I had a chance!

Location: Over by those oil wells, TX | It's crazy how quick she can hit that gear. It's cool that you kept control of it cuz that acceleration is sooo easy to lose control of and it scares a lot of babies when they have that. Kudos!! |

Location: North Central South Dakota, west of the Might Mo | This fall, my husband I bought a granddaughter of Meter Me Gone, Meter Me A Lady, http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/index.php?query_type=horse&h=METER+ME+A+LADY&g=5&cellpadding=0&small_font=1&l= She is just track broke, having a pretty successful track career. We bought her for a broodmare. Meter Me A Lady has about the nicest disposition you could ever ask for. She lets our 2 year old daughter climb all over her. As a matter of fact, I beleive she enjoys it. She also has one of the biggest hips I've seen in a horse and is very structurally sound. The son of the man we purchased her from told us, "I don't know why he only sells the good ones". LOL

The filly I am looking at has nearly the same top side of the sire and top side of the dam as your mare. :-) Between your comments and that run that Rackinas posted on her's... I may have to hurry and buy this horse and quit "thinking" about it. lol |

You are welcome. Mine had been on the track too before I got her. So you can see she had a good mind and was very trainable when I got her. |
