So i have been in contact with a tack shop owner who is selling out... (found on craigslist) she has offered me some amazing deals but is only accepting western union... I am wondering if anyone lives in the area can verify any dealing with her.

She is apparently ill and that is why she is selling out. I hate to be so skeptical but working where I do, it doesnt help.

Please PM me
Thanks

Yeah thats what im hoping to get done. The gal seems very nice and has been very helpful but almost too helpful in the sense where she responds at all hours of the evening.

Its one of those deals where I am a bit skeptical about stuff because of working in law enforcement but I also think well how would someone advertise any differently if their circumstances really were true because some of the excuses/reasoning behind things do make sense but just dont add comfort. If it isnt too good to be true, it would really be awesome for my nieces needing a new saddle

She claims the shop is closed and shes only selling out the inventory but I would think she'd have some kind of options.

It takes about 5 minutes to open a paypal account if she truly doesn't have one (and I'm guessing she could probably just contact PayPal and they would reinstate her account).   Obviously the Western Union raises flags, but I also think it's weird that she's offering free shipping on $150 saddles.  I realize they take up a lot of room if you have a lot of them to store....but it all seems too good to be true!

Right... my thought too. However, none of the saddles she sent were $150 bucks so I dunno about that. Could be one of those deals where they have ONE $150 saddle lol.

But I know very little about western union. I did some reading on their website but doesnt seem like theres much protection even though the seller states it protects both parties. Ive personally never used it. I am glad I am not just being skeptical then, this isnt adding up to others either obviously.

I just figured being in business 15 years and having mainly barrel and rope saddles someone on here would have heard of them if they truly exist.

Sent you PM...

I have a lot of questions too!

I should add she was very honest about her tack, she accidentally told me one was a circle y but it ended up being a different brand and she corrected herself... so she appears honest in that sense... She knew brands and sizes and the "language" of saddles but yeah I just dont know... probably a no go unless a BB comes up with some info.

She did offer to send me references but I cant really trust that either...
