| I have never had to pack a lunch to take to work. Well I am starting a new job and I have to start bringing my lunch. What does everyone take for lunch? |

Location: White Mountains of AZ | If you have a microwave, you can do just about anything! Soup, frozen foods. I usually do soup, frozen soybeans...I also have a thing of minute rice here. So I will cook some rice and add soup. Also if you have a lunchbox/cooler type deal or a fridge at work, you can make a salad or fruit mix and have that later on. Leftovers though, will become your friend :) Congrats on the new job! |

Location: Texas | Where I worked, there was really no place to go out for lunch. We had a microwave and I usually took a frozen dinner of some kind. Lean Cuisine or something and maybe a small salad. The frozen dinners were usually thawed out by lunch and one took a minute or two to cook. But then, leftovers are good when you have them. |

Location: on my horse | I get up half an hour earlier and plan out my lunch and snacks based on what sounds good for the day. Chicken salad sandwich with cashews has been a big winner lately, fresh fruits and veggies to snack on when I feel bored and a sweet treat for the end of the day when I'm ready to jump over the counter and go crazy on customers lol.
One thing that has helped me more than anything is those little lunch box kits from Costco or walmart, it's so much easier to pack a lunch and feel excited about eating it when it's still all fresh looking and properly stored. I have the tupperwares with the middle layer of blue ice and they rock!

Location: London Ontario | Leftovers are awesome. Or we go get fresh bread and cut it in nice big slices, then have different kinds of sandwich meat...yum...... I like to snack throughout the day so I buy boxes of granola bars and stash them in my desk along with juice boxes. You wont believe how much money you will save bringing your lunch with you everyday!! |

| Leftovers usually, but here lately I've been making a lot of wraps with whatever veggies we happen to have handy. I love the cute tupperware! That looks like something I need in my kitchen :) |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | I either do left overs or I take the green giant steamables. I'm Hyperglycemic so I can't really do pre made heat up meals because of all the sugar. But vegatables I can do. I usually pack a Kashi Bar or a pre packaged apple and peanut butter snack to go with it just because I still crave sugar.
I grab it out of the freezer, throw it in a walmart sack and go to work. No prep, just grab and go. They're really good and filling too. |

Location: Never in one place long | Our family doesn't eat processed foods or fast food so I pack leftover EVERYDAY, it works out well, I just cook enough for a couple meals and then I usually pack in an apple or orange with a little healthy snack and we refill glass bottles or water. We rarely ever pack sandwiches as I can't find lunch meat I'll eat unless I cooked a big portion of meat. Salads also are nice but bring the dressing in a separate dish. Just cook a little bigger portions @ dinner time and use them.
A tip for you, we bought a couple reusable glass containers (like tupper ware) and after our meals, we fix tomorrows lunch in these and they can be microwaved so it's all ready to go. These are priceless! My husband thinks he needs to put his food in the microwave so I don't want him heating up plastic as it can melt into your food. |

| I would suggest roam thru the fridge there and pick what you like. So many people do that here, even if your lunch is on your desk some just help themselves. I don't bring lunch so I can escape for a few. I have had people take my burro that I ate half of!! |
