Must be
-Cost Effective!
-Work Quickly
-Treat completely so when I take him off of it it doesn't come right back

What have you personally used and liked? TIA

Oxy-Ulcer will accomplish all of those. But how quickly ulcers come back depends on what caused them in the first place and what steps you take to prevent them from reoccurring.

^^^ Exactly.  Once you treat them you need to change the situation/surrounding/issues that are causing them and keep them on good feed/products to help support them.

Mine was just at the vet last week for ulcers. He said give the horse one tube of Gastro Gard a day for 5 days. He said it had to be the good stuff. His exact words. The horse is back at my trainer. We have decided to feed Purina OUTLAST to top dress the feed. This is a brand new product. It runs about $40 a bag. If you google Purina Outlast, through face book they will have you fill out a form for 2 buy one get one free coupons.

Reduce your grain regimen to 2 pounds or less per feeding.  I'm a Cur-OST fan and love all of their products, but I feel that the amount of grain fed is a huge contributor to those hind gut issues, so I feel it's important to mention that as well.  Smaller grain rations per feeding, more forage.

THE GastroPlus worked great for my gelding that had hind gut ulcers.

It was hauling and running him that caused them so after getting him healed, I started him on FORCO and would dose with THE GastroPlus BEFORE I put him in the trailer and about an hour before I ran him. Worked great for the rest of his career.

I've always been under the impression gastrogard did not treat hind gut...

Ive had good luck with Rite Trac in the past. Since having my horses on Cur-OST and limited grains they haven't needed anything

My vet is an older guy and only works on horses. He stays up to date on what is new or what is working. I go by what he says, period. The horse is back at the trainer and she says major improvement.

It doesn't. Omeprazole does not treat hindgut ulcers.
