I use the CE Legacy boots.  I really want to give Iconoclast a try though.

As a roper, I prefer CE leather splint boots, but there sport boots are good as well.

Which ever ones are on sale and are cheaper! Boots have gotten so expensive over the last few years. As long as they're thick and have some fetlock support, and don't cost and arm and a leg, I will use them.

I personally just think that CE fit a horse better, have more support, and hold up longer. I am CE all the way for boots and polos..

Polo wraps or relentless boots.  Really like how streamlined the relentless fit is.

I used to use Pro Choice but always emptied out too much sand/dirt for my satisfaction.  The CE gets very little if any.  I also think the CE has more protection.

Splint boots or sport boots do not offer support. They are designed to protect against blunt force trauma. On another note, I have one pair of pegasus and if put on correctly there will be NO dirt in them

I am an RES user! LOVE them!!   The sports fit great and even better, the bell boots (and split boots) have replaceable velcro!

plus, I know a super nice Dealer for them !   :)

Actually, sport boots do.

Based on studies that have been done by Professional's Choice, sport boots "absorb energy" anywhere from 4.7% to 45% with an average of 26%. The energy absorption basically is reducing the stress on the fetlock joint, although the boots do NOT prevent hyperextension of this joint.

I don't have the study in front of me but polo wraps have been shown to absorb 6% to 10%.

With that said, I don't use sport boots for the purpose of support. I use them because they are cheap insurance against physical cuts, tears, and scrapes. But they do indeed provide a little bit of support.

Splint boots don't offer any support because there isn't anything that supports the fetlock joint.

I myself use Professional's Choice SMB 3 on all four legs, with Classic Equine Dyno-Turn overreach boots on the front feet. I feel like the CE bell boots fit better than the PC bell boots. But I feel like the CE sport boots are too clunky and bulky. To each his own!
