You might have to experiment to see what works best for your horse. |

I don't know anything about the Mare Magic, you might compare ingredients? I'll check them out in the morning. I can get you THE Calming if that is what you decide on. |

| Mellow by Equine Natural Care. Doesn't take the run away. Calms and helps the horse focus. And it's herbs so it's natural. |

Location: Sunny So Cal | It really depends on what/how your horse spooks or has energy. For my horses they are kind of spooky at things and get ramped up in the arena. So using the tyrosine has worked best for them because it affects the brain and helps them to focus and give them a sense of well being while relaxing them. Magnesium affects the muscle more and makes them almost feel lathargic to me. My horse still has the power I need when I use tyrosine, it is just directed now and used appropriately instead at its shadow or a flower. haha I really like what THE Calming Powder and Calming Cookies have done for my horses. |

thanks for the explanation! I use THE supplements but couldn't get previous horse to eat the cookies. So I was looking at other products that might taste better and get the same outcome. Going to see if this horse will eat the cookies. |

| Jackie ganter just teamed up with Equdite and came out with a new calming supplement called 3-C it's a single dose and helps a horse focus without making them a dead head. If you order Fridays it's free shipping |

That looks similar to the Oxygen product Focus. |

Location: Texas | I use the THE calming powder on my mare Bunny. She's not crazy but she likes to go and can be on the muscle. the calming powder has seemed to just keep her more level. I wasn't sure if it was working and let it run outβ¦I realized I made a huge mistake and put her back on it. Huge difference now that she's on it again. |

yes, the ingredients are very similar. What I don't understand is Magnesium oxide can also relax the muscles and why would both of these products (Equidite and Oxygen) have sugar as the 2nd or 3rd ingredient. I'm wanting to relax my horse mentally not hype them up with sugar or relax their muscle too much that they don't fire as hard. I'm sure they've done testing but it just doesn't make sense to me. and I understand that each horse is different but holy cow you can go broke buying some of these products at $25-35 for one dose/one run to try. And if it does work and I make 3 runs a weekend..I'd need a part time job lol. I'm just a weekend barrel racer not going to the NFR lol.
So what is the reasoning for sugar as one of the main ingredients.. any oxygen reps or equidite reps explain?
Anyone have experience with Magnesium oxide taking the run out of their horse?
Sorry for all the questions |
