Don't lynch me .... and I know I'm going to be the oddball here but I quite enjoy the time change lol! I have come to love getting up early and turning in early the last few years, makes it a little easier for me. I know, I'm weird

My husband leaves at 330am every morning for work and I like to feed my horses around 530am. I almost always wake up before my alarm goes off. I enjoy a little quiet time with coffee and a devotional before I wake the kiddos up. I homeschool them. We start around 8 ish and done by noon most of the time .. then we can usually work horses and get most of the chores done by early afternoon. I'm thrilled if I can crawl in bed before 9pm!

I HATE losing an hour of day light/work, living out here theres always something to do/needs to be done and I hate it when we lost the extra hour of daylight, then that means that extra work builds up and I hate it!!! My whole routine is screwed up for the first month..

I LOVE real time. That man-made daylight savings feels wrong. I stay tired after springing forward, but feel much better when we fall back.

I hate it because now I go to work in the dark and get home in the dark so working horses is extremely difficult. If you don't work or work hours that allow you to be home during daylight hours it really doesn't matter. I also hear people say things about how Arizona doesn't do it and they have plenty of daylight - geography people!! I live in Montana so our daylight hours are a lot less that they they are in Arizona just like Alaska has nearly 24/7 dark because they are that much farther north than Montana. If I had access to an indoor it woud not be as bad, but I live in rural MT and no one here will share their indoors.

I am the opposite of others - I am exhausted today vs. the spring forward. Losing the hour really doesn't affect me because my body doesn't seem to have a regular sleep schedule but for some reason that extra hour puts me completely off kilter.

I just wish that they would leave it one way or the other ..... it is the flopping back and forth that messes me up!

Isn't it funny how just 1 hour can completely mess everything and everyone's world up. I believe they should just leave it one way as well. Its not like "they" don't have the capabilities to do so. It never did make much sense to keep flipping it.

I love it!  I get SO much more rest during this time of year.

As for those of you saying you don't like fewer sunlight hours--it doesn't change how many hours of sunlight, it changes when they are.

Hummm, well the sun changes its path and we get closer to the sun at this time of the year and the earth spins a litter faster so thats why the days get shorter even if on standard time are daylight savings, either way the days get shorter and we lose daylight at this time of the year.

I know going from Daylight Savings Time back to Standard Time doesn't change the daylight hours, the time of year does.  We have the same number of daylight hours at this time of year that would would regardless of which time schedule we are on.  I was replying to the original thread subject.  We don't actually loose an hour of daylight BECAUSE of DST ending was my point.

I personally hate it. I have seasonal depression and not having the daylight after work to ride or just get barn chores done kills me. However, due to covid I now get done at 3pm - which puts me at the barn about 3:45, so I should get SOME daylight. I am hoping this helps me.

The sun would not be up until well after 9:30 or more where I live if we didn't . I know in some states this is not the case .

We got light bulbs for the seasonal depression & I feel they work. We put the bulbs in our living room cealing fan with lights. Has helped both of us alot. May try these

These are the lights we get for seasonal depression. Indoor Sunlight. 9W natural light bulb. Full Spectrum, UV Free, 5,000 K. Bob just put ours in the living room light. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.We both feel they help. My friend in minnesota also uses them. She was the one who told me about them. They get seasonal depression to. Seasonal depression is a real thing.
