My pitt
(4
) is extremely allergic to grass... you can see how this is a problem.
He basically stays indoors or is only let out to go for runs or walks down the side road at our house. We have tried gold bond, apple cider vinegar, various dog itch relief drops and pills, and the vet has sold us 2 different types of shampoo. My one boarder works at a pitbull rescue and she said the reds are usually prone to skin allergies. My dog is ridiculously happy for the amount of discomfort he suffers through everyday, but I'd really like to find something that works.
Anyone know of anything?

Have a bullmastiff who I thought had hay allergies as he always scratched.
Did a blood test for lupus turned out positive. He now gets Imuran daily no more scratching no more flaky skin.
Supposedly there are many dogs who suffer from lupus they actually did the trials of meds for humans on dogs.
