I am currently doing research to find my next saddle. I have a 14" Double J Lynn McKenzie Special 6 3/4" gullet. I believe it is making my mare sore and I want to find a saddle that will fit her and want to look into pros and cons of a flex tree saddle or if i should stick with a standard treed saddle and just go with a larger gullet bar size?

It depends.

I'm not totally sold on the flex tree concept, one I think anything that moves wears out at some point and I believe a few on here can confirm that if exposed to high heat like locked in a trailer tack room they can warp.

That being said there's not a ton of flex in a flex tree - not enough to make it fit any horse, so if the general shape is wrong it's probably not going to work.

I wouldn't buy a reinsman. Bought one brand new, sent it back the next day, awful quality for the price tag.
