Has anyone used this or can give me input? My mare is on 4mg of dex (1 tab a day) everyday year round and runs on Ventipulmin and I EquiResp her which seems to help. I don't believe she is a bleeder and she runs great on this combo without issue. I would love to get her off the Dex though so I am always willing to look at different options. She's a picky eater and I don't want to have to feed something 3 times a day but I wanted input anyway. Or anything else (besides CurOst lolhttps://horseprerace.com/blast-off-hemo-breather/

She only gets square bales as she can't handle hardly any dust and when she is around too much dust, she gets a cough. They also have Blast Off Breather? She was amazing on the Ventipulmin this year and from what I remember the vet saying there aren't really any side affects? I can't remember but if anyone want to give input on anything better I can be doing I'm all ears! A BAL is next on my list but I didn't do it because she does well on this stuff now

I'd get a bal and scope done ASAP to see what exactly you are dealing with. Respiratory problems are nothing to mess around with. If hay is the problem she needs to be off of it. The only way to really manage allergies to dust / mold causing IAD or RAO is to take them away to from the Allegan. If a person is allergic to bees they absolutely can't get stung. Same goes for dust/ mold allergies. Your horse shouldn't have to be on dex every day and who would want them to be? I have a 24 year old that's on 1cc of 4mg solution of dex every other day because his symptoms are advanced. Even off of hay he has a harder time. When you dose steroids like that you want them on the lowest dose possible and on the least frequency needed to maintain them. Look up alternate day therapy.
