I'm back in the saddle. Rode for the first time since injections on Sat, not much, walk, trot, lope both ways, and he was 100% sound. He feels great, and I made sure not to over do it. Gave him yesterday off, and will ride him tonight.
We really need to work on our transitions, especially from the canter to trot. I make sure to sit deep, and he completely just throws himself on his front end and becomes SO heavy in my hand. His transitions from walk to trot, trot to canter, walk to canter are great! It's really just coming down from the canter to trot, and the trot to walk that need work. His teeth are fine, vet checked them when she was out to do his injections.
Even when I really collect him in the canter, and set him up to go down to the trot, he takes the reins out of my hand, and just throws his head down..

Well, I am glad he is feeling better. To address the transitions, it sounds like you may just want to work on him using his rear end as much as possible. I'd work on rollbacks on the fence and in the arena and such. My mare isn't the best at using her back end in transitions, as she used to have hock pain before the injections. I'm working on the same things.
