For those of you who ride in spurs, what type of spurs do you ride in? I use them on my mare for movement not for speed, just to make sure that’s clear. The spurs I have now, I’m having a hard time reaching. I’m 5’7” and have a horse with a shorter barrel so I know that makes a difference. The shank on mine is 1 1/2 in. It’s a smaller rowel and they are short and squared off. I just don’t want to get something that is too much and going to get in the way too much when I run. Don’t want to accidentally get her! Thanks

Side note... I do not like side winders

I like to use the ball spur, if you happen to bump to hard your not ripping the hide. They come in long and short.
