I have a 2 year old I sent off for 60 days of training. After about 15 rides, the trainer texted me saying she felt "off" in the hind end so asked if she could take her to the vet. Fast forward to today, her vet said he didn't believe it was a chiro issue so went ahead and xrayed her hocks. They found a bone spur on one of her hocks, and vet said she needs a year off to harden up. Filly never showed any signs of lameness beforehand. Any suggestions of maintenance wise to keep her comfortable? I haven't seen the X-rays yet, I requested she get them from the vet so I can have my vet take a look at them. I pick her back up on Tuesday.

pretty bummed about this.....I had high hopes for this little mare
