Hi, I'm new to the BHW boards :)

I was hoping to get some advice on who to breed my mare to. She's a solid 1D horse who can run with the best of them. She's also very conformationally correct.

Here's her pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/bullys+french+girl

Here are some videos so you can get an idea of what she runs like:
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=l0Ck4l5rXd8&feature=youtube_gdata_play...
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hufIDcuUG08
http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtube_gdata_player&v=r4hqRYORe...

This will be her first foal. She is short (14.1h) so I would like to add a little height to the baby, as well as maybe some speed and length of stride.

She's incredibly special to me so I really want to make sure I breed her to the right stud! My current top choices are Slick By Design and Firewater Ta Fame. My only concerns are that they may not add the speed and stride length that I'm looking for (and Slick is only 14.3 so I worry the baby would be small).

I've also looked at Plain Special, Eddie Stinson, Hot Colours, Dash Ta Fame, Judge Cash, and a few others. It's overwhelming! I am by no means set on the ones listed above so any suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

If your'e not on a budget I'd look at Ivory James.  With all her performance/barrel breeding he'd add a good dose of speed lines, and probably size too.

I love Firewater Ta Fame. I've seen him in person and he is massive and sweet. Huge bone and size, and quiet as a mouse. I love my colt by him.

But I also agree- if you have an unlimited budget, I would try for Ivory James. I really want to breed something to him.

Kinda funny how looking at one pedigree (your mares) and I immediately saw Dazzler as the best cross, but looking at this bb's mares pedigree made me think IJ!

I've seen this one in person and he is big and perfect from every angle. Like that potato chip commercial where you can't eat just one chip, you can't help but go back to his stall and look at him 3 or 4 times.

Of the stallions the OP posted, I would choose Eddie Stinson. I would say Dash Ta Fame, but if Ivory James is out of your budget then Dash Ta Fame is, too. I like Judge Cash and have a daughter of his as well. I would love to breed my Fame daughter to Judge Cash.

I agree with Eddie Stinson. Paddys Irish Whiskey will not bring you what your looking for. He's shorter then your mare even, and wont bring the speed your looking for either.

I also like streakin pac bar I LOVE how he works in his videos, like how he uses his back legs around the barrels. Famous bugs is from what I've herd throwing some easy to work with colts. Do your research, look up firewater ta fames full siblings and see what you think as well, or any stud if they have full siblings. Firewater on the rocks is always nice, pc frenchmans hayday OR a streak of fling is gorgeous and no doubt proven. I am slowly but surly starting to collect babies from my favorites :)

I like Eddie Stinson. His foals really seem to be running well.

Just tossing this out there, what about Okey Dokey Dale? He'd throw speed and size and has produced some nice barrel horses.
