I thought it might be neat to post before and after pictures of your horse on YOUR specific grain/supplement regimen. Post the photos and what they are getting!!

Bump. I'll try to get some Blue Bonnet Intensify pics. Both horses gained about 40# in the first 2 bags of grain.

I got this mare in from a trainer and she had lost so much muscle and weight. The picture doesn't look as bad as she really was. I put her on oats, probiostatin, and The Muscle Mass with ulcer prevent. I use The on a lot of my horses .

I've been looking into supplementation. I'm browsing between Platinum Performance CJ and T.H.E. I'm leaning towards CJ, but it costs so much more!

See, I've been eyeing 707 Daily Essentials and this makes me want to buy some!  Especially with the cheaper price tag.  But also considering PP and THE.....just going with NOTHING right now haha.

Do you also have minerals out for him or of you not need to do that? He looks great! I have been looking for a good all around supplement.

I still keep out free choice salt and mineral, but I don't know how often he eats it (he's turned out with other horses.
Sadly, he was injured later that year the pics were taken and I had to retire him. I pulled his shoes and kicked him out. I can tell a huge difference since he's been off the 707! He is not shedding off nice, his muscle tone is gone, and he just doesn't have that bloom.
I'm trying to bring him back for a couple of races this year, so he will be back on their products. I'm really wanting to try their muscle builder!

If you just want a vit/min supplement with nothing else added I really like Equivision they formulate with Triple Crown. It is one of the best I have used for an allaround for all class of horses. I still use the muscle mass on all my competition horses. I wish I had before and after pictures but it is worth a look. It runs about $150 for 50lbs. of course they have smaller containers as well.

Here is my gelding before and after starting Blue Bonnet Omega Force. Before is in October when I picked up my first bag of OF, after is a recent photo.

ETA: He was on a 12/6 pelleted feed and was getting 1 full scoop 2x daily and grass/alfalfa and was not thriving nor gaining any weight.  He is now only on 4 lbs a day of Omega Force and grass AM alfalfa PM.  I did start out at 8 lbs of Omega Force for the first two months and tapered down to the 4 lbs since December.   No other supplements.

Forigve me. I always find the timing of these before and after's as questionable. Seems to be most are coming off of winter then into spring. Happens every year.  Wow- its amazing what mother nature and exercise has done.

hahaha! My thoughts exactly.... I don't supplement very much, some salt, msn(to the ones who need it), and actiflex(just finished the last bottle I will buy), and every year this time of year my horses bloom and look great. The spring grasses, sun shine, a good deworming, and they all look and feel like new horses!

The pics of my gelding are August-September (7 weeks.)

BUT: Here's one of my favorite before/after! My 30-something mare that my daughter and I spent FOREVER brushing this weekend! Time lapse= 1 hour.

I agree here  ^^^^, my 21 year old gelding looks awesome when he sheds out all that winter hair, hes a deep chestnut with dapples and no supplement just a pellet horse feed and good grass. But of course when the summer gets really hot he will fade some.

I completely agree.  Now that my horse is in pretty good shape and shed out, I would consider putting him on something and bein able to do comparison shots.

So I've never done supplments, but I have a gelding that hasn't really filled out just up. thin muscle tone, small build but tall. I notice he eats dirt occassional and I worry he is missing some key minerals for his constant growing. He's on a heavy protein pellet, 1 1/2 scoops twice a day and free range grass all day w/ access to hay.

What kind of supplements would benefit him? =)

Muscle Mass. Any horse I get that comes in thin I immediately put on Muscle Mass. The eating dirt is definitely an electrolyte imbalance. You can have THE put in extra electrolytes. Muscle Mass is also great to pair with FORCO
