He proposed last night :) So happy :) Looking at early Sept 2016 wedding. I want to incorporate the mare I have raised, she thinks she is people and she basically is our child. Probably have her in some pictures. Anywho, I want a western-ish wedding. Open to ideas. Pictures would be great!

First off, Congrats!! That is so exciting!

I agree w/Pinterest. Tons of great ideas!

Maybe you can train your mare to drive a cart? Have a little Cinderella moment.

I have also seen some pictures where the bride is running in a field on her horse & the groom is leaning up on a tree watching in the distance. OR if you have a second horse, you could be "racing" the groom. (that's of course if your horse is comfy with a big dress lol)

Lastly, I have seen flower girls being led by the bridesmaids on ponies (maybe you can do a spin off of this idea if you wanted your horse actually in the wedding)

Congrats! :)

I would also suggest Etsy. I just started shopping on there and not only is it affordable but it could give you some really good ideas. I would also suggest making a folder on your computer and just googling different key words like "western wedding ideas", "country weddings" and things like that and just saving all those ideas in one place.

One other thing, really do your research on photographers. Your photos will last forever and you want them to be beautiful and nice quality. Don't skimp on price. It's expensive but will be worth it.

My daughter is getting married October 8th of next year.  She is riding her horse and her dad will be walking/leading her down the aisle and help her dismount.  After they are married, her, the groom and her daughter, who is the flower girl will ride back down the aisle.  This all is based on her horse learning to accept her dress.

Oh, and congrats!

We had our wedding and reception in a barn.
Keeping it simple and working with elements already at the veniew helped us alot as far as cost and planning go.

Congrats on your proposal!! Being married is the best. :)
