| Hi everyone. This is my first time posting, I've been looking around for several years and watching and learning lots. Wondering if I could get opinions of this yearling I recently purchased. By an On the Money Red son out of a Sixarun daughter. Just curious what everyone thinks. Thanks in advance!

| It won't allow me to upload the others as they are too large... unsure if someone could help me with that. If not, the pictures are in my album if that helps. Sorry for the inconvenience. Any responses are welcome! |

Location: Cocoa, Florida | He's super cute!! I like what I see, only thing I don't like and it could be the picture but I don't like his shoulder, or maybe it's the way it ties into his neck. Looks like he has nice bone and feet, a little narrow in the chest. Very cute eye and face!
Good luck with him! |

| Nice colt. He does have that longer body of OTMR. Watch that right front. It appears to toe out slightly. That being the case, since he's a yearling it's going to stay that way. Don't let your shoer try to straighten it. Just trim/shoe him as he is. Congrats on him! |

He's going to have a stride on him! Looks like he'll be as tall as he is long too |

| Thanks everyone! I am very excited to get him home. Thank you for the kind words. I've never dealt with this breeding before... anything I should know about the OTMR horses or Streakin Six bred horses? |

Nice Colt! I've had two. Just know they are not for everybody. OTMR horses are very sensitive and think that their way is the only way. Trick is, you have to let them think you are doing it their way. Lol. They are smart, inquisitive and quirky. If you can make them your friend, you will have a fun ride! Good luck! |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | Good looking baby you have, I had a Streakin Six grandson solid sorrel like this baby of yours he was a beautiful horse and very smart almost too smart. If I can find his picture I will post it. If I can find another one I'm gonna snatch it up.

Location: Arkansas | The OP's beautiful baby and Roxie's pretty sorrel remind me so much of my SS/DFC grandson. He was dog gentle at 5 years old, and that's why I bought him--because I need a special kind of horse since my wreck. My friend who found him for me was a little hesitant because of his age and size (16.3, about 1250 lbs), but once she rode him and then I got on him. . . . done deal! He's 21 now, and I wish I had more just like him. Beck, the friend that found him, put him on barrels and about had a cow. If he had been in the right hands, there's no telling the career he could have had. Having said that, I think he was placed in the hands God intended for him. He has toted me around arenas, fish ponds, Clinton chuck wagon races, and mountain trails----and took care of me every step of the way. I hope your youngster provides you as much fun and love as my Faci has me. |

Looks like he is turned out on his front right, I would get a farrier to look at this and see if they can correct that. |

For conformation it looks like his friends my legs are too far under him, and his back legs are set behind him a little.
Could be how he is standing
If it isn't his front legs will not be able to reach as far as one who is proper and he may be a little front endy |

He's a yearling. A farrier can't correct it at this point. You of all people should realize that needs to be done in the first few months. A farrier trying to correct it now will only cause problems. He needs to be trimmed as is.
The one thing I know to be certain is pictures can be deceiving and you shouldn't judge a horse too critically unless you see them in the flesh. |

OOOOOOOHHHHHH GIRL! You are gonna have FUN with this dude!! OTMR horses are awesome! Friends for life.
I don't have anything critque wise to say about his conformation but I would get his hip looked at by a chiro. (This may be the ground he is on or he could have moved in the picture.) But to me it looks like the right hip is taller than the left? So his hips aren't straight across on the top. Again, could be the picture. Pictures are deceiving.
Anyway, I like how his neck ties in to his chest and shoulders. I would like to see him expanded a little more in the chest area, but he's a yearling so I can't be too hard on him for that. For sure do as SKM said and don't have a farrier try and correct him. The farrier would just mess him up. Get him shod as is. |
