I made a post a little while ago about my 4 year old mare that was having a whole list of issues and a sudden performance change. I changed her diet up and here is a before picture and a picture of her after 30 days. She is looking like a completely different horse and her behavior issues have subsided. Iโ€™ve ran her one time on barrels so far and she worked great! I canโ€™t wait to bring her back!!

on her other post says forage diet, more like a pssm diet. and some herbs. My horse is on a forage diet but doesn't look that dark or shiny! Great job! Hope it was ok to post info from your other post kk sue.

Thank you everyone!! She gets a can of alfalfa pellets morning and night. 2 flakes of alfalfa a day and is on pasture during the day. She gets chia seeds and CBD oil and herbs for EPM from old west holistic co. (wormwood, shavegrass and cinnamon) I think chia seeds and the herbs is what made the difference. I canโ€™t believe the difference in my horses after taking them off all grain. Iโ€™ll post a picture of my other girl too thatโ€™s on the same diet but without CBD and she gets soaking whole oats.

She looks great!   My bay is slick and shiny  like that with a very deep color.    The people parked next to me at the last jackpot had a pretty long conversation with me about my feed program and couldn’t believe that I don’t feed a grain.   My buckskin has dapples, sock and shiny too.    As I was loading they asked me again if I really didn’t feed grain :).

Deanna Harrison. She has a fb page called Deanna Harrisonโ€™s essential oils. I used to run my other mare on dex but I took her off dex and started using Deannaโ€™s โ€œmorphine bombโ€ when I run. She seems to be doing well but sheโ€™s not in shape enough to run her as hard as she can so I donโ€™t have a definite answer on that yet.

I would like to know also on the CBD oil. I take CBD oil. I started it because of my back pain but it has helped with a whole lot else, i.e. my IBS, Diverticulitis, I also think it has helped with my hair growth and it doesn't feel as thin. It might also be helping with my weight but not drastically yet. I also get the Hemp Oil plus Curcumin from Terry Naturally.

The alfalfa hay when its good quality will put a shine on your horses along with a good diet. My one gelding that I was feeding alfalfa threw winter shed faster and has a shine on him that makes him look like glass so now my other two are getting a flake of alfalfa in the mornings too. And then I started them on the Biomane just for the heck of it and wowz the other two caught up with my shiny fella..
