I'm picking my horse up from the reining trainer next Friday night, and then we are headed to our first barrel race of the season the next day! I know he knows his job, so I'm not worried about it. Just not expecting the fastest time in the world because he'll still need to get his "running lungs" back again.
Did the same thing with my other horse a couple years ago. Picked up from said reining trainer and we went barrel racing the next morning! I love it. He gets them so nice and soft for me.

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | We were doing SO good. Canter depart from a walk and he nailed it. Sat back to enjoy the ride and work on his head position and slowing him up a tick. Took a deep breath to relax and he felt it and broke to a trot lol. Took wrong lead to canter again, corrected him and the rest was perfect wuth another great walk to canter depart. Finished last in the class for our major bobble, but I truly think I have my confidence back with him. The ride was fun!. We get to try and do better Sunday. Thanks all of you for the support! It means so much to me.

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | No pictures :( I forgot my camera and the show moms left before the show was over, I was in the last classes.
BUT...
I won circuit Champion in Eng Equitation!!!! My 1st time showing in more than 10 years. We had a clean Hunter Under Saddle go, thank gosh they judge the horse and not my miserable riding (lack of practice), but we were 3rd out of 6 under both judges. Audie never really did a thing wrong, just green horse things. But I made some new friends and had a blast.
