I paid $35 with a gal on facebook. She did a nice job, what I was wanting. She sent me the PDF and I paid another $35 to have her have 20 printed and mailed to me on glossy paper.

Thanks so much for your nice recommendation, it means the world to me as a Graphic Designer! I always try to keep my prices low so that everyone can afford them, big or small. In my opinion, I feel it's absurd to charge someone $100+ dollars for something that can take me less than 4 hours to make. I like to think that if I wasn't a graphic designer working at home, how many hours would I have to work somewhere else for $35? At least 4. So in my opinion working for 2 hours at $15 an hour isn't bad.. sometimes I have at least 4 flyers or other services to do. Until proven otherwise, I plan to keep my prices where they are at. Not only does it work for the customers, were both happy. Without happiness on both ends there's nothing. :)

However, if anyone is looking for services to be done in the mean time, don't hesitate to shoot me an email at [email protected] with all the details or shoot me a message on FB at Callahan Designs. Thanks again! Have a nice day!

I don't think that it is absurd to charge $100. If someone was to take your design and let's say place it in the program for their NBHA state finals it's going to cost them between $100-$150 for a full page ad. At least here in the Midwest it is. I work for a digital printing company. We are suppose to have print ready files, but we will get the occasional client that just wants us to throw something together and even if it takes me 5 minutes they will charge our $60 an hour rate. I estimate that I am charging $25 an hour, estimating a flyer will take me 4 hours. In the midwest the low hourly rate for graphic design is $25, average is $65, and the high is $110. My last flyers I created I only charged $60.
But I must say my education costs $50,000 + and 4 years of my life
my computer was $1500
Adobe Suite is around $700

But that is just my reasoning behind it with the research I've done. I am glad your pricing works for you and that you are happy and enjoying what you are doing. :-)
