Before stall mat rental was a thing, I bought those puzzle piece foam mats from Lowe's. They worked great! Of course, they got a few nicks/cuts, but I STILL have them and still occassionally use them for my horse to stand on while tied to the trailer. I've had those things nearly 20 years.
