thanks everyone!!! nice to know i am not alone driving mysself crazy....we have been having 40 degree swings and i have been a wreck with five being in the age range of 25-40. They are getting a lot of inside time and lots of hay...heated water buckets that are checked as often as possible to be sure they are clean and full. only have one not drinking as much as i'd like to see. I have blankets but havent put them on for fear id make the adjustments worse. 45 & sunny yesterday and its suppose to be -15 by afternoon today. I might have they barn cleaned by spring just kidding! Glad to be in good company lol! Stay warm and prayers that everyone weathers the storms!

It was that cold here yesterday and my broodmares were out in the pasture, doing the exact same thing.  They have hay up by the windbreak but they were out pawing grass.  They all got locked up last night though.
