For a horse like what you have a Sherry Cervi dog bone..Theres a short shank and long..
Got a pic of that bit?
My computer is being a butthead today but I will try to load one for you. Awww got it
this is the short shank and theres a long shank also, I have both.
Thanks. I have a very similar bit but it's not twisted. Does that have a little gag to it?
Just a little bit, not much..

To throw it in there ... These SC bits are incredibly versatile depending on how tight you make the chin strap, how loose/low you set the bit in the mouth, etc.
All the horses that I have run one in seem to really come nicely into it. Good Luck!

I use JD Morrow Bits. He makes bits for Ed and Martha Wright as well. Here's his link. Message/Call him. He knows how to bit a horse really well and will take bits back and exchange them for you if they don't work the first time. I've never had to send a bit back to him.

I second this ^^^^^
I absolutely love his bits and he is fast and an EXPERT when it comes to bitting a horse. So so helpful. You can message him on facebook too!
