Good thing i am not afraid to be a rebel and stand up for what is right. Oh I hope not. Anyone with the slightest pedigree knowledge can see these paper should be QH. I just hope I get in touch with someone who is willing to help.
I would call, I have never had any problems with anyone at AQHA, they have always been so helpful and answered any questions I have had and helped get papers on a horse I had bought that were lost, it took a while but the girl that was helping me made it happen.. I would not send in the original papers untill I have talked to someone that is willing to look into the matter so that they can work with you to make it right. I knew a lady that worked in the office many years ago, she was so nice, we talked about some of the callers and she said some would call and right away they had a attitude so that would rub off, so I say call the office to get to the place you need so you can get that paper fixed, but make it a pleasant call, | |

| UPDATE: Spoke with the AQHA, they were very accomodating and helpful. They let me know that the filly's dam had once been thought to be out of an appendix mare and she was registered as such. Then DNA proved she was in fact out of a cowbred mare. The pedigree was corrected but there was never a regular AQHA number assigned to her (they said error on their part). SO that resulted in our filly being registered appendix. I was then transfered to the DNA department where I told the whole tale over again. I have been instructed to send a signed letter explaining all of this along with the transfer report. Apparently they are going to have a rep reach out to the registered owner of the dam to verify....however the first rep was the person who gave me the information initially so it is evident that the AQHA has these notes somewhere. Anyways..seems they are trying to get everything straight.. I just hope there are no issues that cause the holding of these papers.. Appendix papers are better than no papers..
