I don't have a lot of experience & am my horses handicap. My horse is a push style & I am scared to go fast!!! I must "stay up" going into the barrel, when I sit he turns, maybe this is what she was meaning.

However, you said she had not seen this student ride, so I'm not sure how she would know how to "help" her!!

I have seen several trainers that rate more with their hands than their body. If you teach the horse this way, then they will be good at it, but Im a sitter for sure!

I went there in my head. The lady was handing out her business cards to everyone and there dog. Kinda weird

You can report them to the office.
In no way should she be handing out free advice. 

A good learning experience to block out negative advice for your student. Use it as a teaching lesson.
