powerstroke power - 2016-12-28 8:56 PM All I will add to this conversation is I'm 2 months into trying to rid my house of fleas. Nothing for house treatment is working 100%. Do what you can to prevent a house issue! These things could survive an apocalypse.

I will NOT use the chemical stuff to bomb my house - just can't take the chance on health risks.  I got the stuff from http://www.fleabusters.com/ - and it worked great.  Also used Bravecto on the dogs, other than the pup.

thanks for this..I wonder if it's the same as Borax...

I vacuum, i bombed, i've sprayed raid, i've sprinkled borax, hummmmm what else.

I'm down to about 10% of the critters left..but just one can re-infest the house. They say low humidity helps..winter is helping with that and running the furnace. I'm going to probably sprinkle more borax..

I trapped a few of these buggers in a container. Sprinkled borax in with them. Took 4 days to die. It's just inside the house to keep them in contact with Borax unless i'm walking around in the same stuff for days on end (it's like walking on salt).

We're on vacation in a few weeks..i'll coat the house while we're gone if it's still a problem.

I've heard they hate garlic?!? Not sure how much truth there is... but it's natural- couldn't hurt!

I used Vets Best Natural Flea + Tick Home Spray (Amazon Prime) in my house.. smells like mint and didn't stain furniture, etc.

Tx3turns - 2016-12-28 1:23 PM Comfortis for both dogs & cats here.
Be careful with cats and Comfortis, it killed my cat.  Yes, it was the correct size cat pill that killed him.  I have never had an issue with my dogs and I love the stuff for our hard to kill, year round fleas down here but I will only use topicals for my cats from now on.

I had the opposite experience. Topicals
made my one cat sick. Have not had any problems with Comfortis. Some animals are just sensitive or allergic to different products while others do fine on same product. I have one horse that can't have Quest wormer, all my others can.
Thank you for the heads up and concern. It never hurts to be aware of what could happen.
