I also have the Verizon Jet Pack wifi. It's been the only thing that has worked here decently. Our neighbor tried almost everything on the market and never got a system to work as good as Verizon.
I can run 5 computers or phones off of it at the same time. When our daughter visits that works out well.

I have my cell through Verizon also - it definitely pays to check periodically for "specials". They have the deal now where your unused data rolls over. They also had a special going a couple mos ago where if you had at least 10g/mo
(I think it was 10
), you got 2 more for free. I do get 20% off every month due to corporate discount from Verizon's contract with the company I used to work for & draw my pension from, so every little bit helps. On overages - if you contact them when you're getting close, they will bump you up 2 more for only $10 for that month only.

I'm going to have to check out Verizon Jetpack. The people I know who use the local service say it's no bueno, and everyone around here hates Hughes... seems to be the popular opinion on them. I sure would love to find an unlimited data plan, but they don't seem to exist anymore. Now I just hope that, when I do find a service that works, it will work with an imac. :/
