Did they do a urine sample? any of the tests for FeLV or FIV?
They said his bladder looked good in the X-rays and he gets his own litter and he has no problems going it's never changed
(we separate him when we aren't home so the big guys don't beat him up
). I have one that gets crystals so we monitor their litter a lot. They still think it's a blockage but maybe something soft like string or a feather, and gave him iv fluids, and some antibiotics. They are also running a dye through his intestine and staggering X-rays to see if it' helps them see something. Right now they are trying to bring that temperature down. He's miserable and they called to say they wanted to sedate him because they can't work on him. Since it's the weekend if they can't find anything by tomorrow
(only open until noon
) we are going to take him home and keep an eye on him and bring him back Monday. I told them I would take him to emergency if something happens but no one will be there most of the time saturday night and Sunday to watch him; and I think he would be more comfortable resting here.
The blockage thing seems most likely to me because he was fine in the am and completely weird in the pm
(last night
). But he hasn't really vomited as much only one time.
