Full of Beans - 2018-04-30 10:59 AM Update: Soaked the mare's hoof in epsom salt and collodial silver on Friday and then applied the abscess protocol that I have seen promoted on here so many times. As of this morning I am seeing vast improvement.

Yay! I was going to suggest that soak! 
I have also had excellent results with shooting the tomorrow cow mastitis cream into the hole, although I did not x-ray so I only have a general idea of where the two inches of nail actually ended up.   That gelding was an absolute ahole to soak so I did that once and used the Tomorrow cream and an easy boot for the following seven days and he never took a lame step again.

Update: Mare seemed to be hovering at about an 80-85% improvement the last handful of days. As of this morning, she is at a solid 85%!!! The Lord is hearing the prayers and healing this horse. I am feeling confident that she will not only be sound enough to ride on, but also sound enough to compete on.
