See if this link works. I googled Pitchfork ranch sourdough. This is the exact recipe I used. It will probably work in a bread machine. There is a certain order that you put the ingredients into the machine. Will google that one too to let you know. Note this sour dough starter has sugar, and a potato. Some replace the water with milk.
Just for the record 1D soon. I have been cooking an evening meal for my family since 1967. I have a degree in Home Economics. Even though I live by myself I still cook almost every night. I think I have an idea how to cook almost anything and my exhusband used to say "if she says a ****ant can pull a freight train you better hook him up"
Ok the order for putting ingredients into a bread machine--- solids, liquids, yeast goes in last. I was afraid if you got one a Salvation Army it might not have directions.
ok let postt some bread recipes
i love bread think i will make some this weekend
I make a lot of white bread loaves, brioche, and a brown loaf bread that my husbands family in Belgium sent me the recipe for that you bake in a pot. It's so so good. Best thing for a winter lunch is fancy grilled cheese sandwich with homemade brioche and some kind of fancy cheese you can't pronounce. Yum yum yum.
I have a couple of books that I love: The Bread Bible and one from America's Test Kitchen that has a lot of good bread recipes.
Still trying to make croissants and the Cuban bread you can get in Tampa. The first few tests have been... not so good.
