Sometimes you can only try and fail so many times before you just haft to put a dream away. Give everyone a general idea of where you live. There's a lot of BB's that would love to have you join them. I know for myself I have more horses here to ride and run barrels than I have time for. If you were in Montana or I in SD, I'd totally take you up on that! I have my friend to ride with, but she doesn't want to go as much anymore and would love to have someone to trail ride with and/or haul to jackpots with. I would absolutely love that! WELL, I'm sure happy that you two made a love connection, but what about ol' LRQH's horses that need halter breaking and riding time?????
Well if you were around here, or I in Louisiana, I would take you up on that too, as long as my body guard could come. |

^^^ ^^^ Isn't it kind of funny that all these horse people out here in this world can't find someone to ride horses or go to jackpots with? |

I know! I'm cool once I get where I'm going. The barrel races are full of girls I only get to see at runs and we have a great time. Its just the traveling especially long distances that I don't like doing by myself. My daughter and I put on thousands of miles a year hauling to her rodeos. Now she's a party pooper. |

| Alright I am going to join this thread because I am in the SAME BOAT!
I began hauling in junior high with my parents and kept going through high school. I LOVED it. I never had the best horses or the right gear <- I had a roping saddle and then a cheap ebay saddle that I worked all summer for lol. But the time spent with my family was what I remember the most.
Eventually I moved to college and knew that I would not be able to dedicate myself to horses and an education. So I sold everything I had.
I graduated with my BS and got a job immediately out of school. I worked the night shift. I worked weekends. And 2 years later I was finally in a position to buy a "nice" horse and hit the road. We were going every weekend. I was broke but I was happy!
6 months ago the company I work for offered me a job across the country. It was an opportunity to do so much more with my career so I took it. Once again, I sold everything I had!
Now I live in an area with NO HORSES. I have the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to do what I want. But NO HORSES.
Thanks life!!!! I do not know why this is so hard for me. I honestly have no idea how it comes naturally to others?
The only thing I want is to buy a small ranch with a few ponies, and now my life has taken the most strange turn and I am so far away from my poor dead dream. But, I am keeping my nose to the grindstone and I KNOW that this will look up. It just seems like a vicious life circle. Hang in there original poster, you are not alone and I know that it will get better for the both of us.
