I caught my old gelding at it once (he was in his early 20's)...what got me tickled was he had his usual relaxed look on his face - which for him included a significantly drooping lower lip.  I managed to hold in my hilarity until Dad saw him...and starting singing "Rally 'Round the Flag Boys"...

We have a gelding that does this twice a day at feeding time. I suppose it's true when said you can get to a man's heart through his stomach. My gelding loves his feed.

hahaha I have a  percheron gelding we bought to use on our dude line. He's a super solid, quiet horse. Unfortunately anytime anything interesting happens in his world...this is his reaction.

He does this when you put a rider on him, he does this when the farrier is here, when he's playing the pasture, when he comes in for grain, when he comes across anything interesting on the trail (wildife, hikers, bikers etc).

He is a great horse, super easy going, great to handle, passive in the herd just has this little 'quirk'.

As you can imagine the comments we get from people are pretty hilarious. He definitely knows how to keep the conversation going
