Location: MN | I went down again yesterday, he is NOT sore at any injection sit, or hot. I did lightly ride him around, but wanted to see if he would lope to the left any better, and he still does not want to pick up the left lead. I did not force him or push him, so I just walked him around and flexed him, and quit? Don't know what is going on, does he NOT realize it won't hurt anymore? |

| I have a horse who was not injected to much later in life also and the recovery process is a long one. The first time we injected her, she was so stiff and sore the vet the thought it was an infection but did a culture and everything came back fine. Same issue the second time we injected her. It takes her about 3 weeks to start feeling better. We try to only have her injected now when absolutely necessary and we know we will have to give her about a month before she is back to normal. Though most horses recover quickly from injections, every horse is different. |

| Maybe there is more going on than just sore hocks? I took my gelding in because he hopped around a left turn. Told them to find what was bothering him. He looked off on rear, blocked his stifle, good on rear but now off on front. Blocked up front and went sound. Found he had sore hocks, a sore stifle and was sore in his front heels. The front did not show up till he hocks and stifle were taken care of. |

Location: MN | I don't know or a fact that is what is going on, but it is just a coincidence that he didn't limp before the injection, no one rode him, then after injection he is sore? I am having a really good shoer come tomorrow morning to look at his feet too, just trying to eliminate things. I rubbed on his stifle, didn't flinch, rubbed on both hocks, didn't linch. Maybe a little sore on the back but he WILL NOT pick up his left lead!!!! |

Location: Florida.. | was he picking up left lead prior to injection? I see you said he was a little off prior and decided to inject both hocks and 1 stifle. what stifle did you inject and wonder why vet didnt inject both. is he still on bute? if so.. hocks are usually not painful if horse is on bute. did you call vet back out ..
