I love packing, yes very dorky pleasure of mine.

I always bring grain for amount of days and usually one extra serving and an extra half bale of hay. (i have two HUGE haybags I use) I use the ziplocks for my grain as well and put them in my water bucket and my water bucket in my rubber feed pan. I put the forco supplement in the baggies of grain.
I use my classic equine boot bag for my splints and two full sets of polos and at least two sets of bells. I can fit treats, a few brushes, combs, binders, hoofpick, bucket hook in there too.
warm up bridle (snaffle) and the two I flip between when running depending on how hes behaving.
Saddle and CSI pad

For me, a cooler with beverages and food.
my hat
long and short sleeve show shirt (one hanger)
boots (i dont always wear them to the barrel race)
My purse has all the goodies ... aspirin and bute (in case either of us get a headache)

If I am hauling with someone less prepared then I bring my first aid kit. I learn to conserve space :)

Rope-N-Run - 2014-03-06 12:14 AM Just a little tip, but everything in bags. I know it sounds simple but I started this last year. I have a CE bag that has all my BOT/pht/soft-rides stuff in it, its one of the large mesh bags with a zipper around it, anything therapeutic goes in that bag. I have a smaller CE boot bag that I put my horses boots/wraps in, I also put a couple mesh bags in it that I put my wraps in after they are dirty. I have a boot bag with my standing wraps and runners relief in it, I have have a bag with my magic cushion and everything that goes with it in it, then I have an extra bag that I use to carry stuff in. Most importantly I have my drug bag/box. I always have banamine, bute, lasix, and sed-ivet, and stuff to treat a wound with me just in case something happens. Another good tip with I am going to be hauling with someone I mix all the dry ingredients of my horses grain and put them in zip lock bags, it makes it easier than having to take bags of grain and supplements with you. That way I just have to take the liquid stuff with us. I know this all sounds a little obsessive but it makes everything SOOO much easier. If I want put on my horses BOT stuff I just grab that bag, if I want to sweat her legs with runners relief I grab that bag. Its especially easy when are traveling with other people.

I keep all my magnets in a professionals choice boot bag with the mesh bottom so dirt falls out, and if I'm jumping in with someone else, I put my polos (1 set per horse), liniment, respiratory meds, syringes, rags, a brush, mane/tail comb and a hoof pick in there. I rarely travel in anyone else's trailer so I am lucky that I don't have to consolidate my stuff very often, but my tack room doubles as my dressing room/"living quarters" so I have to be very creative in how I store things in it otherwise I would have no floor space at all.

Lol that can be a long list

Hay
Grain
Oral supplements
Buckets for water and grain

Vet kit
Banamine
Bute
Bandages, pads, vet wrap, standing bandage
Cream
Scrub brush
Electrolytes
Antibiotic
Syringes
Needles
Oral syringe

Hoof supplies
Rasp
Nail pullers
Hoof knife

Sore no more ointment
Back on track supplies, quick wraps, blanket

Extra halter and lead shank
Chicago screws
Snaps
Tool set, screw drivers, hammer, knife

Headstall extra one as well
Reins, extra one too

Saddle
Saddle pad

Support boots

Horse treats

Horse brushes

This is all I can think of right now

I think this is a great list when hauling with someone else. All those items can be packed tightly into just a couple of bags, and that includes everything you could need. I would also include a change of clothes for myself, sunscreen, bug spray depending on the time of year, and water bottles.

I do this too!!

My binder is organized by horse and the first few pages are always directions for where I'm going and the coggins/health paper(s) if needed.

When I haul with someone else I try and pack as light as possible. I'm the worst about I MIGHT need and then I never use what I packed.
I've found gallon ziplock bags are great for grain, and the little baggies for supplements (if not liquid) easy to pack and the grain is already measured out.

Same here, I mix everything up besides the liquid supplements. I mark my bags AM & PM with the name of the horse it goes to. If I ride with someone else USUALLY they have most everything when it comes to medical, trailer repair, grooming supplies, etc. I do bring my own buckets, of course saddle, pads, blanket, I have a duffle bag with my sports boots and wraps, and I will usually only bring one bridle for each horse because the person I haul with (like most of us "barrel racers") have enough bridles setup for an army. Bring Lysol mixed up in a spray bottle (i mix mine twice as strong as recommended, Lysol is better then bleach) so you can clean stalls if your renting and also the walls of the trailer. Most important above all though is coggins, health papers, and medical records on each horse.

For you:
Most important, boots, spurs, hat! The rest are easy to buy and usually cheap enough if you happen to forget.
