Something about this is not right. Unless they were totally incompetent, (which by all accounts they were not) It's pretty hard to flip a 19 foot boat. Once in the water they would have stayed with the boat as long as it was floating unless they were killed at the time. I can't quite put my finger on it but part of the story is missing. Wth all the shark attacks up and down the east coast this year I doubt they could live this long in the water... I'd like to see a picture of the boat.

I wanted to see a picture of the boat too. I searched online yesterday but could never find one except for the picture of it upside down.

I read a squall popped up and they think that is why the boat capsized.

It is NOT hard to flip a 19' boat in the ocean, hell its not hard to flip a 29 ft boat in the ocean, a powerful enough swell could surely go over the bow of any size boat. The ocean can be ruthless, it can go from flea and glassy to "VAS" victory at sea, in no time.

I grew up boating, I am a salty dog as well and I have been offshore in some pretty nasty conditions. I have taken a 14 ft center console to the 5 mile bouy to fish and hit unexpected weather on our way back in, only 5 miles from the shore you're not safe.

Apparently these boys have made the trip to Bimini in that boat a few times, it's only 45 miles from Jupiter inlet BUT crossing the golf stream is not an easy trip in that small of a boat.

It's sad and although they may have broke the rules like they weren't supposed to I still wouldn't wish that punishment on anyone. It would be a miracle if they ever found them alive.
