| I have a pair of Lace Up, Ariat Fat Baby boots. I can wear them for 16 hours in a similar situation and my feet don't hate me. |

| veintiocho - 2016-03-31 11:26 AM I have high arches too and while I love my Twisted X wouldn't recommend them for what you're looking for. Instead I would go with a running shoe designed for high arches. Asics seem to cater to those with high arches and are the only shoes I can run in without getting shin splints. They're not over priced either! I would stay away from Under Armor, they are cute, but don't hold up to daily use.
I will look into those, thanks! |

| azsun - 2016-03-31 1:46 PM If you go to a running store that has a Shoe Dog display. They are better than the Super Feet insoles because they form them to your foot right there in the store, so they are more custom. They run about $80 though. But they are well worth it. I use them in my ASICS running shoes but they will work in almost any pair of shoes, except dress shoes. You could also look at Merrills too. I know alot of nurses use the Dansko shoes. My ex MIL had bad arthritis and these are the only shoes she could wear without hurting. Good Luck ... taking care of your feet is a big priority because they carry you throughout the day! If you can find a pair and afford the extra $$, it's worth it.
I looked at their website and it looks like they make SuperFeet too? I used store locator and they don't have any stores in Alberta. But I have found SuperFeet here so I will keep a lookout for those! |

Super feet work well for me, my husband and my son. My Shoe Dog inserts are in my running shoes. I have Super feet inserts in some of my casual shoes. They make them for dress shoes, but I've not tried them. I limit my time in dress shoes because my feet hurt. I rarely wear heels either because my feet hurt. They are much less expensive than Shoe Dog, so they worth a shot. |

Location: North Dakota | Asics for tennis shoes, keen for dress shoes-but look at them they have sandals, brooks if either of those don't work. Nurses wear dansco, which probably wouldnt work in the environment you're looking for. |

Location: the end of the rainbow | outside with gravel and concrete you'll probably get the most bang for your buck from a good pair of hiking boots. They will last longer and give better support than tennis shoes. Go to an rei or bass pro shap and try on all their hikers. Youll find something that suits your needs.Β |

Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | Not trying to steal the OP thread but I just got a job yesterday working for a vet. 10hr days. I've never found a tennis shoe that doesn't hurt my feet. Always hurts in my arch and/or heel. I have the same problem finding boots. Nothing works. The best is Tony Lama but I don't want to wear boots all day. Right now I'm wearing a cheap pair of Sketchers with memory foam to exercise in and they do pretty good but I get shin splints about every other time. Anyone have any suggestions? |
