Location: Kansas		Depends on how well your saddle fits.

I ride with a 1" pad with my roping saddles, and have to ride with a 3/4" with my barrel saddle

Location: Durango CO		Ok thats what I thought too but I figured with the weight of a hevier saddle you would need a thicker pad
