Absorbine Flex+Max vs. acti-fex-4000

I have been doing a whole bunch of research on joint supplements. I have two mares that need to be on a joint supplement. One is 6 and one is 12. The 6 year old came off the track, and the 12 year old broke her coffin bone two years ago, but that is healed and im bringing her back this year and she is doing really good and is sound on it.
Both horses were on exceed 6 way, but im a college student and I just really cant afford to feed that. I took them both off that over the winter because I wasn't riding much, but now I am looking for something else to put them on for this spring when I start running.
I came across the acti-flex-4000 supplement and ive heard good things about that, but then I saw the flex + max, and it seems to me that both are really pretty close in ingredients and pretty close in price.
So im wondering, has anyone used either of these supplements and if they've had good results, and which one would be a better option!
If anyone knows of any other really good supplements that are affordable, let me know!
Thanks!

I started my gelding on the Flex-Max about 3 months ago and I'm thinking I'm seeing some good results with this supplement, he's moving really good now and his ankles dont seen as ouchy now, just bought more so I guess I will be keeping him on this.

Been using the Actiflex for about a month now, so far so good. The farrier noticed that our 31yr old doesn't seem as stiff. My barrel horses seem to still being doing good on it, I only had one that was showing soreness in his hocks and I have noticed that he's getting his hind end under him better. I can't compare though, I've never tried the other. Sorry!
