The exodus is a story of God's miraculous saving power from beginning to end. It is also a beautiful picture of God's redemption of us in Jesus Christ. We are reminded that we have a God who goes ahead of us. He parts the seas, brings down mountains, and turns rocks into pools of water.
As we think about our lives in light of exodus, we realize that through faith in the crucified and risen Christ , we are brought out of slavery. We trust God's provision for our salvation, but may times we start our new journey we struggle. Just as the children of Israel were to drive out the inhabitants that were residents in Canaan, God, as we grow in our relationship with Christ, desires to drive out those deep seated strongholds in our lives. Lust and greed, jealousy and bitterness. Many believers find themselves saved and stuck.
Psalm 114 reminds us that we serve a God who goes ahead of us, making personal sanctification possible. As God parted the sea and brought low the mountains or obstacles for the Israelites, He is able to bring us spiritual victory in our lives by driving out the obstacles that keep us from enjoying His blessings and glorifying Him. Would you first believe that no stronghold, no matter how long it has resided in you, is beyond the power of God to be transformed? What would it look like for you to stop trying to overcome your stronghold and really start trusting God to break the chains and give you new desires? FAITH is the key to blessings. KEEP FAITH and TRUST God.
Remember life is a journey not a destination. FOR IT IS WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. HAVE A VERY BLESSED FRIDAY AND WEEKEND.
Father, guide me to do all things to bring glory and honor to You ALWAYS AMEN
