Well, I have never used this product but can tell you that the ingredient listed sorbitol is a laxative that draws water into the GI tract. I think it's odd that the website says they are using it as a sweetener...

Sorbitol is also a really common artificial sweetener. It's found in diet sodas and gum.
It can also be used as a thickener. It is used for this purpose in toothpaste.
