I need to disinfect my wool cinch. The horse I had it on got ringworm and I want to make sure it won't spread when I use it again. I have some hospital grade disinfectant but all directions on it talk about nonporous surfaces so I don't have a good feeling about using it. Any ideas, suggestions, etc. I really don't want to pitch it. Its in good shape and was pretty costly.

Pour/spray rose fungus killer on the cinch - allow to dry - then rinse in COLD water really really well. Don't rub, and don't scrub, just rinse in COLD water and hang to dry.

I've done it with great results! Good Luck!
