I am buying a saddle for a horse I don't have. Lol. I have not picked out that horse but I know that if I don't get my mare a friend soon she's going to eat me. I need a 2nd saddle. I kinda wanted to go treeless route because I'm tired of fighting the fit but I'm worried I'll hate the way it rides. The others I have looke at are Martha Josey, Dale Martin, Double J, Sharon Camarillo.... I am not savvy enough to know what kind of horses these saddles usually fit nor what kind of horse I'll end up with.

Definetely try riding in a treeless as they do have a unique feel. Some love it, others hate it. I have a Debra Sibley which seems to fit a variety of horses. I have also heard this about the Marlene McCrae by Cactus.
I personally have always like a Billy Cook for a back-up type saddle, they dont fit everything but do fit quite a few and they are a fairly inexpensive saddle.

I wouldn't buy until you have the horse. A horse with high withers can make you need a larger seat size. At least with BM. I just bought a Jackie Circle Y and not sure this would be true with it since the seat is firmer than the BM.
