Seriously, what's the difference between these two bits besides the look? Basically I can notice the ball hinge and maybe the gag part is set lower but that's it. Is someone seeing something that I'm not?

The slope of the shank. The first one will give the horse more gradual pressure and more gradual release. The second one the pressure will be immediate and release will be immediate.

Thank you! I'd like to buy one of these in the future but I wasn't real sure what the big differences we're.
