| Psalm 40:9-17 I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness in the agreat asssembly; indeed I do not restrain my lips, O Lord, You Yourself know. I have not hidden in Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation. I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth for the great assembly. Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord, Let Your lovingkingenss and Your truth continually perserve me. For innumerable evils have surrounded me; my iniquities have overtaken me so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head; therefore my heart fails me. Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me; O Lord, make haste to help me! Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion who seek to destroy my life; let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor who wish me evil. Let such as love Your salvation say continually "the Lord be magnified" Probems are nothing new to the child of God; ALL of us have them. David certainly faced his share. Through it all, his only concerns was that the Lord be MAGNIFIED. What does that mean? When something is magnified it appears CLOSER , becomes more recognizable, and the details of its natures that were once hidden become CLEARLY SEEN. David wanted God to be MAGNIFIED to OTHERS through his public and person declaration of Him. His righteousness, His love, and His salvation to someone else, or to conceal those truths from them. PLEASE TELL THEM! David also desired the Lord to be MAGNIFIED through his deliverance from the enemy. What is your response to those who seek harm to you? Today, why not respond with the same words David prayed, which is probably similar to what our Lord Jesus prayed that night at Gethseman. Allow Jesus to be MAGINIFED THROUGH you. Father God, guide me today to do all things that will bring glory and honor to You AMEN for it is WITH God ALL things ARE POSSIBLE Matthew 19;26 |
