I've been given different answers on if this saddle fits or not. Can anyone please give me some guidance? 

It's pretty difficult to give you an accurate answer based on your pictures alone.  Watch this video and it will give you all the information you need to evaluate whether you saddle fits properly or not.

Saddle fit is so important and honestly one of the most overlooked things. The biggest things I always check: make sure there's 2-3 fingers of clearance at the gullet over the withers when the horse is standing, and that the bars aren't pinching behind the shoulder blades. A saddle that rocks front to back is usually a tree width issue. If it sits high in the front or back, the angle of the bars doesn't match your horse's back angle. What does your saddle look like when you set it on bare-backed without a pad?
