| I don't like Houston much, but if I had to live near Houston I would live in Katy.I have not been there since I was young but it was a nice place then. |

What type of work does he do? Me I have never liked Houston, just to darn busy and over populated, and I bet finding a good school would be on the hard side. Now the smaller towns close would be a better choice, I know Huntsville is a pretty town , well it used to be 20 years ago, not sure now. ...Β
Huntsville is still very pretty! I work in Huntsville and live about 45 minutes north of there. With that being said- I work for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Huntsville and a VERY large number
Of my inmates are from houston!! I hate it down there! |

The crime is so high in the Houston area. My grandmother lived in Houston all threw my childhood, she lived almost in Pasadena, when I use to go stay with her and my grandpa during the summer months, I remember how she always double checked the doors and windows befor we went to bed to make sure they were locked. And when they got older my grandpa passed away and she lived by herself one night late she heard a big bang in my grandpas room, crazy lady went to check it out and when she opened the door to the room there was a huge hole in the wall where the window and air con used to be, some nutjob tied onto the air con with his car and yanked it out of the wall and was driving down the street with the air con draging behind the car.

Location: Texas | My parents live in Huntsville, I live about 30 miles north of Houston, in cleveland. It is way to close for me. And to many people. The area here is growing so much, the last place for Houston to grow out to. |

| We live in Tomball, its the North side of town. We have been here about 3 years now, we both work in Houston, I drive about 30 mins in and my SO drives about 45 to downtown-but he goes into work at 5:30am. We like Tomball/Magnolia area a lot. There is a great Cowboy Church in Montgomery that we love. Lots of barrel races and horse activities year around. We are going to sell our house in Tomball( 5 acres) at some point and move to the property we bought a little further out, in Waller area. |

Location: Texas | We live south of Houston in Wharton. Probably a little too far south to commute to down town houston, but I can get to sugar land in 40 minutes and that's a great suburb for good food and shopping. There's lots of barrel races within an hour or two of Houston. I wouldn't want to live in the city either but there's tons of options of country life with the ability to commute in. Lots of good vets too :P You'll be within a couple hours of Texas Equine Hospital (Dr. Honnas), Brazos Valley Equine hospital, Texas A&M Large Animal Hospital, Waller Equine, Collier Equine (whoop!), ESMS Houston Field Medicine, And I know I'm missing a ton of other great vets..
Few hours drive from Waco, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Edna, there's all the Wrapn3s Renee puts on... GCBRA in our area surrounds a nice variety of the Houston area... You can always look up the GCBRA Facebook page and reach out to the members there.. lots of us live anywhere from liberty county to Jackson county. |

We went to the cowboy church there today for the ranch rodeo! I wish we lived a little closer- I loved the church and the people!! It's an excellent facility too. |

| Thank you for all the responses. I'm pretty sure Houston is off the table now. Denver has now become an option. It's just so tough for me. I love Arizona and never planned on leaving. :( |

So now you want to hear the downside of Denver? It is a very liberal city and all I think of is when they did a bree specific law and killed pitbulls and anything that resembled a pitbull. I'll never get that image out of my head. |
